It would be nice if STH added WoL testing to their switch reviews.
I purchased a TEG-3102WS that apparently does not handle WoL and PC suspend mode properly.
I have an I226-V card in my Fedora 43 Backup server. I put it in suspend mode when backups aren't running. When it suspends, the link light on the switch and the PC go off. This isn't supposed to happen.
If I replace the TEG-3102WS with a Mokerlink, TP-Link, etc switch, the link light comes back on and I can send a WoL packet.
EEE is disable on the TEG-3102WS .
I've opened a ticket with Trendnet and they are of course blaming the NIC and it's not their problem, even though suspend/WoL works just fine with this NIC with every other switch I've tried.
