I need to run some kids games that are from the 90's and are available on Steam, don't have any real computers to instal this on or to run steam on a different OS. Can it work on like an n150? How about an older AMD v1756b? Not going to spend a bunch on this since I don't game and just for the grandkids. So what's likely to be the lowest performance machine I can use to run SteamOS and older games?

Could I run it on a Pi4/8gb? I have a couple of those, have some 2gb if that would be enough (doubt it).

A HP T640 is known to be a good lil Steam machine.
Edit: An AMD v1756b would be even better.

I was just reading this Armbian forum post that says that people have Steam clients working on Rockchip RK3588 based boards. Since I'm so old that I don't even know what Steam is, don't take that as any sort of recommendation!

Thanks. I'm trying to get retropie set up first, what we really want are some old win3.1 or win95 games. Backup is to buy them on steam so I may still look into this on a T740. These are some old mid 1990's kids games for grandkids.

I'm running dreamcast/ps1 emulator and bunch of games from 90s on a n100 connected to 4k tv with two gamepads attached, works flawlessly
