I'm trying to archive my cd's from Christmas and had nothing but problems. I always have used EAC Exact Audio Copy with great success over the years but now everything I rip has static. I have moved my drive to a different computer with success, used a different computer to rip and determined that there is no issue with the software or the drive. The CD itself passes as well. I have updated all drivers and software and still have the same issue. Not sure where to go next but thinking it's something with my Supermicro machine board software or hardware. Windows 11 up to date and scanned for virus disc cleanup as well. Any ideas on where to look to solve this issue would be appreciated.

Is the static in the image, or in the playback?
A rip 'should' be an exact digital copy, without static. I'm much more willing to believe that there is static on the d/a playback side...

If you have (or know someone with) a USB DAC, that might help isolate the issue. Supermicro MB would be high on my suspect list for DPC Latency as well as older audio chip (like ALC 897 or lesser). Probably doing a terrible job at D/A.
