I just saw the announcement of SanDisk's NAND-based memory modules, basically big SSD drives designed to plug into motherboards instead of RAM. Instead of 64GB of RAM and 10TB of relatively slow disk, imagine a system with 10TB of memory! For an analytical database or any sort of "big data" manipulation, that sounds like nirvana.
