SSD DIMMs - now we're talking

I just saw the announcement of SanDisk's NAND-based memory modules, basically big SSD drives designed to plug into motherboards instead of RAM. Instead of 64GB of RAM and 10TB of relatively slow disk, imagine a system with 10TB of memory! For an analytical database or any sort of "big data" manipulation, that sounds like nirvana.

Saw them too at Tweaktown, Computurd talked with SanDisk Diablo and SanDisk receive award for ULLtraDIMM and MCS Technology | TweakTown
Way of the future, SSD's attached directly to the CPU, what latency ?

Cool but how would it work. BIOS support and OS support would seam to make this tricky.
