SR-IOV Bios support in desktops

Hi all,
According to a thread from over a year ago in this forum (a link will be followed next), "none of the desktop based boards (with the exception of the X79) properly support SR-IOV". First I would like to ask, since over a year passed - is the situation the same ? The second thing is -
which x79 supermicro board is meant by this ?
I googled for it by x79 site:supermicro.com, and got only 6 results, which does not show it, so it seems.

I had the same question about the Asrock Extreme 11 x99 so I emailed their tech support. They actually supplied me with a BIOS with the configurable option added in. If I were you I would just email tech support for whatever board you're interested in. I doubt any of the 1150 boards support it. But the x99 and at least some x79 probably do.
