Now the hard part: trying to get rid of the more obscure switches like the 6610 or the PSUs.

i emailed him about shipping to Norway, got a no.
Not expensive to ship from NL to Norway, so assuming he wants to avoid the export form of non-EU.
Yeah I spoke to him earlier today and he mentioned you. He doesn't want to because the EU is a bureaucratic clusterfuck with regards to Customs and Export.

Are the remaining switches basically a paperweight (i.e so obscure Perry is better off scrapping them) at this point?

Well I guess the demand for 24-port SFP (it's not even SFP+) switches isn't that high...

There's a market application for RJ45 1GBase-T switches as you can use it in many different scenarios, but SFP? Not really. If you use an SFP(+) top of rack switch, you will most likely use 10G and not 1G

Interesting. I'll probably be seeing him tomorrow and will mention what you said.

It's not really worth buying a switch for 250€ when you can have 20x the bandwidth (twice the amount of ports and 10G instead of 1G) for twice the money (ICX6650)... Yeah, those switches were niche models.

The problem is that he has them priced higher than what the rj45 model normally go for on ebay.
Sure the 24x 1G as sfp is not that interesting, but they still also have 16x 10g 2x 40g.

i bought a identical unit recently and paid 90$ for it, as a comparison i paid 200$ for the rj45 PoE+ model.

Same goes for his 6400-1500EPS, very niche and they frequently go for 40-60€ with one cable included.
