Hello,

I would like to get a chassis like that (with the sas2 backplane) for more than 8 months now.
It's not really hard to find a good deal in the US.
And right now I stumbled across a very decent deal (chassis and sas2 backplane $250.

As I live in Europe (Germany) what makes it unattractive to me is the price that is asked for shipping ($128) and import charges (depending on the "value" ->$78)

Is there anybody out there with experience in international shipping?
Would it be possible to deconstruct the case and send it in pieces to get the shipping costs down?

I wouldn't even need the backplane as I could buy the sas3 backplane here for little money.
But a backplane without a chassis seems useless.

Any input welcome

$128 wow that's not bad at all. We pay ~$60 to get them from 1 side of US to other.\
I don't think you can get much cheaper unless you took it apart and brought it home in luggage :D

The price is really ok. When checking ebay I usually can see much higher prices for postage (I live also around Germany).

Message me if you want to sell and ship that, I don't have one and would be cool to have 1, let alone the 4 or 5 I eventually want: ) :)
