I have a c6100 with all four blades populated with 2x L5520's and 24gb of ram in each.

It has all 12 drive caddies

1 psu.

I was thinking $700 OBO plus half of shipping.

Let me know what interest there is out here.

Price drop

Only thing I see in the 300$ range is for the socket 771 version with DDR2... you can't really compare that to socket 1366 / DDR3.

People a really liking to hate on this, i dont get it. This price seems reasonable, someone else was saying it was worth 65p, but the machine he quoted only had two nodes and no caddys, am i way off on this?

Depends if you're willing to pay more for retail CPUs, assuming yours aren't ES/QC.

Dell C6100 XS23-TY3 2x Nodes 4x L5520 2.26GHz Xeon QC 96GB RAM 12x 250GB 3.5" HD
^ $800 shipped to me.

It's reasonable just DDR2 to DDR3 isn't much of a performance difference for most things so 500$ doesn't make much of a difference.

The DDR2 also pairs with older and less efficient CPUs as well though, so the decision includes power efficiency as a factor. Oh and also usable life, which can be longer for the 5500/5600 line of chips and RAM.

For the OP -
I don't think your price is unreasonable but I think you have to consider that, even for a site like this, not too many will want a 4 node system. And those that do have several options to choose from. I think the thing that might go against you is for a couple hundred more, you can get a system with double the memory with equal or higher powered cpu's (based on my search at ebay)
It's all going to depend how quick you want to sell it.
And for someone to compare it to the older generation is ridiculous.
