I screwed up! I got the wrong units but before shipping them back I wanted to see if someone here was interested in these units:

Here is the link to the Supermicro SYS 6027TR-DTFRF specs: Supermicro | Products | SuperServers | 2U | 6027TR-DTFRF

These have Mellanox ConnectX-3 FDR Infiniband onboard for each node. 2 nodes per 2U server. Condition is open box but unused. Heatsinks and everything are still in original packaging.

Selling for $1200 each $2350 for both shipped to the US if someone is interested. Likely will send back by Monday if nobody wants them.

If you have the E5-2670 or E5-2660's, these are pretty awesome servers. I have the SAS RAID version of these in the Las Vegas colocation and thought I was getting the same ones. The other nice thing is that they have 3x PCIe x8 risers (2x FH 1x LP) which is nice if you buy cards off of ebay and need a mix of card sizes.

The one I have in the colo looks like it is a Mellanox VPI adapter since I could switch it in Windows to 40GbE so I would not be surprised if this was the same.

Do you have any idea how many months of use they have on them?
I would say 0 hours although I am not 100% sure. Seller told me they were NIB and I opened one of the two boxes that arrived before realizing what they were.

I just also found that I have a new huge QSFP optical cable (at least one) if someone wanted to have a HA cluster like this: http://www.servethehome.com/hyper-v-replication-with-mellanox-40gbe-greatly-improved/

The node looks basically the same. I think it is just a SAS riser card connecting to the backplane that is different:

Supermicro-SYS-6027TR-D71FRF-Motherboard-Tray-600x354.jpg That gives you a good idea of the expansion with the 3x riser slots.

Wow, if only this shows up a week ago I would get it :(, Just bought (2) SYS-2027R-WRF to upgrade an aging 6100 at my colo.

Aren't those 2U ea?

I'm looking at:

Mellanox MSX6012-2BFS SX6012 EMC 100-886-236-00 12-port switch with EMC OS

and

Mellanox MSX6018-2BFS SX6018 EMC 100-886-230-01 18-port switch with EMC OS

As potentials to use with these systems. That'd be way cheaper way to get clustered back end. If the EMC OS is just passing all Ethernet/ IB traffic then I'd be OK since I'd just use this as a separate network for storage/ cluster traffic.

Yes they are, so the replacement will take a 4U space instead of 2U and less compute node.
I figure since the new server loaded with dual E5-2670 per node and 256Gig ram each, I will save some power and have more compute compared to the C6100 with dual L5520.

btw: Does anybody know if it is possible to install a RAID card in to non-raid version of these?
