I have a Synology RS819 it is nice and works well but it quite expensive for what you get. I don't really use it for my lab stuff just for home business and family PC/laptop backups that are set a forget that I don't have to worry about. For the price and 2019 release year it should have had > 1gbit NIC through. The higher end models are even harder to justify for the price for me compared to building something.
