Hello to all.

How to get the firmware files now that Mellanox belongs to nVidia ? Somehow you can no longer buy Silver Support?

We need them to go from Onyx X86_64 3.9.3202 to Onyx X86_64 3.10.4100LTS.

"Firmware updating is done through the MLNX-OS management software."; in short you shouldn't need to download firmware manually.

If you do have to you need to get enterprise account for nvidia.

depending on type of the account you will get access to all kinds of downloads.

Well, we used to have a Mellanox account because we bought a Silver Support for the SN2700. But the support contract expired at the end of 12/2022. And since then we have honestly not cared.

Now I have tried to log into the nvidia Network Hub but it says all the time wrong data. And password reset also comes nothing. Well okay I will have to write an email to the.

Hope it is enough that I give them the Serial No. of the switches.

EDIT: This ist not MLNX-OS (Infiniband) it is Onyx (Ethernet) and we not have any management software running.

LMAO try it, at least if you bought those switches from the second hand market.

Been there, done that. Nvidia sucks. They wouldn't sell me a support contract for this SN2700, SN2100 or SB7700 I have.

interesting. I was explicitly told they don't sell support contracts for used stuff

For me the same. I just had a conversation with nvidia and they told me to contact a nvidia networking partner who sells support and updates.

It was much easier under Mellanox and their online store.

Of course I like to take the image because I wanted to try RoCE under vSAN and there have been a lot of bug fixes since then.
