Samba, which i guess is used, is on smb 2.0 level i believe. From what i could gather a while ago there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of planning yet on stuff like multichannel in smb 2.2/3.0. Sadly.

I don't remember if OI has Samba, but most people probably use the CIFS service built into the kernel anyway. I believe it's still on a pretty old version of the SMB protocol, like SMB 1

That was a nice post! Thanks. Yeah I've been using the CIFS service built into the kernel and was wondering if there were plans to update that to the newest standards. It would be awesome if they did but I am not holding my breath...
