As the title suggests. Looking for a small 5-8 port gigabit switch. Unmanaged is perfectly fine for the project. Trying to connect a few low power servers together in space of a shoebox. Each is slow and only has 1 nic so don't need fancy.

Looking for suggestions. Maybe a small Netgear GS108 GS105? Saw the GS105E version but that is way more expensive.

I think the fancy links are broke

I had a suggestion, but apnar actually presented a better solution for cheaper, so +1 to apnar.

I think the GS105 is 3.5w max while the GS105E is 4w max. How low power do you need?

Cisco/Linksys SD2008 is my favorite little gigabit switch, version 2.2 uses 4 watts and might melt, where the version 3 units use 3 watts and run cool. Combine melted version 2.2 with their lifetime warranty and you have a version 3 in case the ebay auction doesn't specify

Friday morning inspiration. Got a GS105. Didn't get the E version for the 0.5w difference. I have a project in mind too :)
