I have 8 SAS disks, which are paired up to 4, to 2 SFF-8643 SAS cables, but the mother board has only one input for those cables, so I would need a second one.
As I have 1 x8 and 2 x4 PCIe slots available I just bought my self this adapter: AMAZON LINK, but it doesn't works, because only U.2 drives can be directly connected to PCIe, SAS would need a controller.
What are some cheap options for single(I am not planing to upgrade any time soon) SFF-8643 to PCIe HBAs?
