Sillicom bypass adapter as Intel i350 alternative?

I found that the Sillicom brand quad-port bypass adapter (model: PE2G4BPI35LA) is built on Intel i350-am4 chip. (product page and spec sheet)
Also, its 2nd-hand ebay price is usually lower than true/fake Intel i350-t4 NICs.

I did know pfSense doesn't need bypass NIC ports to be used as an transparent firewall/IDS/IPS.
I am wondering if this is able to be used as an Intel i350-t4 alternative in the home lab.

I am not sure what the current situation is, but I once bought some old PEG2BPI (roughly similar to 1000 pt) bypass NICs from Silicom.
As I recall, they required special drivers to deal with the whole bypass functionality, which when not present made the card not work at all.

Things could be different with this generation, but I would not hold my breath.

Driver download page for this card:

I downloaded multiple zip packages(by the way, 7-zip cannot open them) and they are probably containing multiple drivers for different cards.
