The 00FK676 (x3650 M5 8x 2.5" HS HDD Assembly Kit 00FJ756+ 00KF464+ 00FK847) with a little bit of dremel work will get in there nicely, then I can easily attach it to a 12G raid controller.
Only one problem... the power connector for this backplane Part No 00KF464
The x3750 backplane power plug is different, I wonder if there is a converter out there.
So the standard 8xSAS 6G assembly: (94Y7751) >>>
And the 8xSAS 12G assembly: (00FJ756) >>>
... any ideas?
I guess I would consider alternative options if this power connector conversion is a problem. If I had a x3650 M5 server then I could check the voltage at the pins and frankenstien my own cable together but unfortunately do not have access to a x3650-M5.
The non-challenging option is to just remove backplane altogether and direct attach drives to an SAS breakout cable and rig my own daisy-chain power-cable, but I prefer challenges, keeps life interesting.
