Based on the reviews on this site, I've ordered a Mikrotik CSS326-24G-2S+RM.

I've got a bunch of Intel-compatible passive DACs fom 10Gtek that I've been using with my Intel X710-DA4 NICs. Any idea if the Mikrotik will accept these DACs?

Should not be a problem. Mikrokit is not picky about modules it can support.

BTW, how would I know if it's *not* compatible? Is it something as obvious as the switch not detecting the cable and the link not turning on? Or is it something more subtle like lower thrroughput / higher error rates?
