Setting up Hasivo F1100WP POE L3

Dear All,

sorry for the noob question. I bought this switch based on feedback here and wanted to start using it as an unmanaged switch while I learn the intricacies of a L3 managed switch. I assumed that it would come configured as an unmanaged switch but at least mine is not that way. Also I could not find a good manual so posting here. Any help me to get started would be very appreciated.

Never mind. Just learned that layer 3 needs to be configured. I guess I will learn faster than I thought.

What do you mean? Doesn't it work as a simple L2 switch if you don't use the L3 features?

It's totally my fault. I didn't realize that the last port was not #8 but the console port. Old eyes. Thanks for the feedback and for now I can use it as a L2 switch.

Question is both the power and ret led blinking between green and red?

My power LED blinks green under normal operation. There appears to be a yellow or orange led that stays solidly lit behind it.

Yeah that looks very similar if not the same.

Thanks Good to know. I am used to a solid green light on power led/lights. I asked Hasivo and they said it was normal. And now you also confirmed it.

I imagine that it might simply be a firmware bug that they never bothered fixing since it doesn't affect the functionality of the switch.
