So what do you run right under the proxmox? Do you have linux-KVM? or any virtualization underneath?

What do you use for backup? And any thread on your backups?

I think Proxmox VE is built on CentOS. Then uses either OpenVZ or KVM virtual hosts.

Proxmox VE is built on Debian. Otherwise correct - it supports both KVM and OpenVZ

Yes again, way overbuilt.

My question to you patrick is...why use proxmox when you have IPMI remote management and can use the virt-manager GUI or CLI? for performance at least?

What 3TB disks? I am also interested in the backup system implemented
