the intel version is only 6Gbps, so will likely just max out at 6Gbps. The 12Gbps Nytro looks tempting.... i can't afford to fill my 24-bay with those though...

Yeah, I forgot to add that the Intel version is just sata, but it is a bit cheaper than the Seagates. There's only 2 of the Seagates available at that price, so that might be the right quantity to 'try them out'. ;)
