The 8TB MyBooks are generally WD80EZZX white label drives from my experience (I have two) and the equivalent white label models for the larger sizes. Depending on your power supply you might need to tape up the 3.3V pins when mounting them internally.

I have no idea about the Seagate drives but I don't see those being chucked as often and I think some of them might use SMR archive drives, unlike the WDs.

I recommend you to go with WD instead Seagate Backup Plus. You will find SMR drives if you shuck them.
I have two of them in a pool...
