I have picked up these drives to use in my home lab. I have formated them using linux sg3 utils and run Seagate Enterprise tools on each drive. All the drives formated in sg3 tools without any errors and are all 512K per sector. Linux and Windows will not allow me to create a partition on the disks. I get an unrecoverable hardware fault in windows when I try to create the partition. I have used LSI 9200 with an external enclosure no dice. LSI 9211 in IT mode internally connected no dice. I have tried them in Lenovo Sever same issue. Then tried in HPE DL360p with the 420I raid controller same issue. Any ideas?

Drives are hardware locked to a specific controller/ raid setup (by hardware I mean a firmware programmed setting) Had this happen to me on a drive from ebay and had to send it back to the vendor for re formatting (i.e he had the tools that unlocked it, from the SAN it came out of, in firmware)
