Wow, that's a hard drive to find any reviews on. But damn that price!

That model number in the pic is the non-encrypted version, whatever that means.

Also, the photo in the listing doesn't match the photo on Seagate's site.

Looks like it's been sitting at this price since March 5th, with only 7 sold? Also, it's been listed since 2019 - and again, with only 7 sold.

FYI
I brought the same model
Seagate Nytro ST1920KN0001 XF1440 2.5" 1.92TB PCIe Express Gen 3.0 Flash SSD
from the same Ebay seller last year Dec 9
Price for 1.92TB was $140

I do not recall any problem or issue .

Why... Why so freakin cheap?

Anyone know of its PLP? (power loss protection) I see it listed as a feature in the PDF, but it doesn't state what kind. Most likely a transaction log, but it would be nice to know?

Intel P3500 and P3600 400GB were well under $100 for the last 18 months or so, only recently have 400gb NVME Enterprise gone up 2x and larger 2-4x.

For 12.5W drives their performance is terrible, I mean compared to SATA Enterprise (even old) their write IOPs is terrible.

Aside from SAS, what is different about these Seagates compared to a consumer SSD? Compared to some Samsung, the biggest issue is lower write iops?

They have higher power usage and write endurance, so if you need a drive that can be written to these work.
Probably also rated to be in service longer too.

I brought the 1.92tb drive for its capacity, cheap SSD
then brought few 2TB nvme m2 drive for $125 each,
so I completely forgot about the XF1440 drive.

only as an example this different SATA version of the nytro might be better for write intensive operations (higher iops and a 1DWPD endurance rating)

of course we're talking SATA vs. u.2 so there are other differences.
