Anyone have the firmware for these? I know this thing is basically a boat anchor because of its age, but I do actually have a working one that has R02 (2009) firmware. I've read there is R02 (2011) firmware or newer through a lot of googling, but haven't found a way to get it.
I think this is required for Westmere. The E5506 works that is installed, but when I install X5670, the fans slowly ramp up to max speed, stay like that for 15-20 seconds, then quickly ramp down, wait 30 seconds, slowly ramps back up, rinse & repeat. No error light on the front.
Any ideas? Firmware problem? Bum CPU?
