Interesting... I'm guessing you haven't received your's yet, right? It would be nice to hear some actual buyer feedback at these prices.

How to interpret "NEW PULL FROM SYSTEM"? System was new in box? It's never been pulled before? o_O

Looking at the seller's negative and neutral feedback doesn't inspire 100 % confidence, I think. And writing "TRUSTED SELLER!" in the item description...?

Also, right now I'm seeing "8 available / 3 sold".

Yes, you're correct there are 8 available. I wasn't 100% confident myself, but decided to take a chance considering the fact that these are the newest model of the Fusion IOs. When it arrives, I will report back on the packaging and will verify the usage via ioSphere.

I just give a look at the feedbacks of the seller following your comments :
  • Last month : 121 ratings and 1 neutral
  • Last 6 months : 1003 ratings, 6 neutrals and 7 negatives
  • Last 12 months : 2725 ratings, 14 neutrals and 11 negatives

In my book that is more than acceptable. You can't avoid the negatives feedback once you reach a certain volume of sale. There always be unhappy people.

Looks like the seller just accepted and offer from one user for the 8 remaining drives so there are no more left! Bummer

i didnt see your post and offered $900 each for the remaining 8, I should have tried lower but they were already a good deal and didnt want to lose them. pcie 2.0, but at least the x8 pcie slot makes up for it.

I am trying to get a solid setup down for vsan 6.5 to see what works and what doesnt. Right now I am swapping out intel 750 for p3700 as the cache drives. I am trying to juggle between sandisk (fusionio), intel P3x00 and samsung 960 pro stuff.

I think I am starting to get to a decent baseline setup. Would love to hear anyone's suggestions for the latest build of vsan.

@timd how's that 960 pro stuff comparing to the 750, p3700, etc? Latency as good?

I haven't got my hands on the 960 pros yet, I am gonna try to track a couple down tomorrow. I seem to keep stacking up stuff in the graveyard. I am getting a sense that with vsan I need to put absolutely the best stuff I can find in there to get it to perform on par with expectations that I have had working with emc gear for so long.

I received the SX350 today. Packaging was great and ran fio-status and a quick CrystalDiskMark. I can run diskspd if anyone is interested. This was my best purchase in 2016. Would be nice if the seller drops more as I would love to pair this up.

@timd - I would love to see the numbers you get from your VSAN testing. Eight of these bad boys should yield some nice numbers.

sorry about that...images should appear now. Also, with diskspd I was able to hit r/w speeds of 2.8GBs/2.0 GBs.

is this card considered NVME or just PCIe SSD ?
It has an amazing performance, and its barely used, that is such a great deal.
