That's positively a SFF-8639 (U.2) connector, not a SAS connector.

The drive is 12G SAS, if you have an older 6G SAS HBA and/or backplane and/or cable it may have the PWDIS issue. If you are using a fanout cable (e.g. MiniSAS to 4 SAS + SATA Power) try putting a Molex-to SATA power adapter onto the SATA power breakout.
