Needed about 12 of these to replace the fans in 4 compute nodes to quieten them. I don't need the fan housing as they will be going into 216 and 826 chassis which use a different housing.

Made an Offer of 120 and was accepted. Probably would have accepted lower. Don't need 40 of these but this was way cheaper/easier than buying the fans individually.

Do these fans use the "standard" 4pin connector or do you need that special cable/adapter like in supermicro chassis?

really? i thought Supermicro used a lot of 80x32mm fans not 80x25mm?
The "workstation"/tower chassis often use 25mm fans. For special chassis supermicro even has 11k rpm 175x38mm fans :D

They use standard 4pin cables but they are real short to fit in the SM fan housings.

Probably too late now since you already pulled the trigger, but if you upgrade to the latest IPMI firmware (make sure to reboot afterwards) they have an "Optimized" mode that spins the fans at 30% instead of 50%. My 6027tr-dtrfs don't bother me at all to be in the same room with now, plus I didn't spend any extra $$.

Seller won't sell them to me for $120... When you receive the fans... Would you sell me seven of them?

Were you able to use them in any of the SM fan housings? I imagined couple of inches of cable is long enough. Here is how the wire is routed on standard FAN-0104L4.

Reading my statement again, I can see how it can be interpreted differently. What I meant was that these cables are short so that they will for the supermicro fan housings.

They will be delivered only this Friday it I don't doubt that they will fit the SM housing.
