Here is a thread for Samsung 840 Pro SSDs. Please post your benchmarks and observations.

To get started, here are some benchmarks for my 256GB Samsung 840 Pro:

Can you do a Anvil 0-fill score as well then it's should be close to taking top spot.
No, I refuse to do 0-fill benchmarks. It is unrealistic and misleading (even though it would be almost the same for this SSD, it is misleading for Sandforce SSDs)

Here is an ATTO v2.47 benchmark. I prefer to change the settings to "Neither" which I believe gives QD1, and a 2GB file size:

For completeness, here is the overlapped I/O QD4 with 256MB file size that is unfortunately the default that most people use:

Intel RS2BL080DE

Morning gents!

Want to share some Samsung 840 Pro SSD results on Intel RAID controller on pretty old computer TYAN K8WE.
Configuration=>> Intel RS2BL080DE (LSI SAS2108 ROC based) with expander Intel RES2SV240 connected to Supermicro mobile rack M14T. Raid controller equiped with BBU (AXXRSBBU8) and HWkey with CacheCadePro 2.0 (AXXRPFKSSD MM: 918399)
btw, want to point out.....HWkey AXXRPFKSSD MM: 907049 comes with CacheCadePro 1.0

same RAID controller settings

What i don't like:
-samsung 840 Pro ssd activity led doesn't works behind RAID controller. LED is always OFF. With intel 520 series ssd activity led works as intended, blinking during activity.
-temperature readings for samsung 840pro ssd missing on Intel raid controller, but exist on HP SA P800

===========================
2nd test on supermicro x8sil-f Intel 3420 chipset 3Gbps SATA port. Drivers 11.6

============================
3rd test on x8sil-f + HP Smart Array P800 Fw7.24. Samsung 840Pro detected 1.5 Gbps mode only. Note: Hp controller acceleration disabled due dead BBU. According to HP docs, they don't recommend to use this controller with ssd, BBU should be mandatory, controller performance limit is approx 50 000 iops 4k.
