the S3500 is really a read performance oriented SSD right? relative to the S3700 for example...

Any opinion on grabbing one of these as a cheap SSD for laptop(s)?
I'm ashamed to say I've never used a datacenter drive in a laptop, primarily samsung evo drives or something else cheap. But these look like a decent option.

@JayG30 for a laptop maybe a different drive. These were not the lowest power options. Otherwise fine.

Missed out, darn. But, I did grab a bunch of the EMC branded 340gb M.2 drives last month for $65ea. Decent performing drives and the price was solid.
