I was reviewing the documentation for the s2600CP2J motherboard again. In page 3 under product features, the doc states that the 6gbs connectors are recommended for ODDDs. This is repeated on page 21. Then on page 41, under 4.3.3 paragraph 2, the documentation states the 6gbs do not have SGPIO signal routed and the LEDs will not illuminate. Does this matter?
If the OS SSDs are connected to the SATAIII 6gb ports, will there be ANY impact on performance? Will the full SATAIII / 6gbs performance be supported? Any loss other than the LED function?
The answer would seem obvious, but I have enough experience with IBM to verify.
