I hope somebody can provide me a quick answer, as I'm at my wits end. I had to open up my case today for an unrelated reason and I noticed that my CPU #1 fan and 1 chassis fan was not spinning. My first thought was that the fans had died. To confirm though, I powered down and moved them to new headers (where other case fans were initially plugged into), and voila they worked fine.
After some further testing, it appears that chassis headers 1-4 and 7 work fine, and CPU fan header 2 work fine. I've tried running the FRU/SDR update to list what fans I'm using, but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Any thoughts on what the issue could be?
