Hello all,
I hesitated posting it here or on mobo category...
Here's my question :
I'll certainly build a setup based on Xeon E3 + SuperMicro X9SCA.
My needs : to plug a x16 graphic card + 2 x8 cards (RAID + Infiniband).
While seing the pictures, i imagine my graphic card (dual slot) will occupy one of the x8 slot.
I'm trying to find a solution and thought about riser flexible ribbons.
I never used one so i can't imagine any caveat/trick...
I "imagine" that i could plug one side on the x8 slot (even if flexible, is there enough space between the slot and the graphic card side ? HD6950) and then...
Well, i stopped to "then" : indeed, how will keep the whole thing ? I can't imagine the slot side of the ribbon put on the PCB between two slots... it doesn't make sense...
Unless riser products only are for rack setups ?
Finally, does it have any "performance loss" or any caveat i can't imagine ?
Thank you
Sincerely
