I want to revert an LSI 9212-4i I bought used to its factory defaults, so I can create a hardware RAID-1 on it. It is currently in HBA/IT mode, and I would like to get it back to a raid card.

All the guides I find online are IR to IT, and I can't find the firmware downloads anywhere.

Any help/guidance would be massively appreciated.

Is this an actual LSI branded card, or a Dell/IBM card? I just did this with a 9211 a week ago. Used firmware directly from Dell's website, and the flash tools found in a zip file on another forum. I couldn't find LSI/Avago's firmware downloads, but it's a Dell card anyway so no harm in using their firmware.

Broadcom put lot of the downloads under 'Legacy'. I'm not familiar with either of these cards but if they are based on SAS2008 ROC, I'd guess 9211-4i should work for 9212-4i assuming it's just how the 8087 port is oriented (up/horizontal). Here is the direct link to the FW files for 9211-4i

https://docs.broadcom.com/docs/12350518

Here is how to search for FW/tools for legacy cards
