I have drives that have 65k hours that have yet to have a hiccup. I also don't trust any single drive with a thing I care about. The drive size versus power and space usage is likely to become a sticking point before failure does.

it's about right for a enterprise refurb.

Assume they spend 5 years running continuously (43,800 hrs) then get retired .

They are based in US, but provide services worldwide, as an EU customer you just have to pay VAT on import. There shouldn't be import duties.
I don't think its scummy and still cheaper than to buy from German (or EU) based refurbisher.
Also the Warranty they provide is looking very good and better than the EU minimum standard, which is already high.

Don't know, but I think its the same as with me ordering from EU, they'll send with UPS and you have to pay VAT afterwards.
