Upsides and downsides to this kind of deal , will be interesting to see how what the reaction is and if anybody changes track at all.

Well. Two years is a very long time in this industry, and for someone coming to it cold, the state of their documentation is ridiculous. When I go to their website I see an announcement of something that occurred in, relatively speaking, the bronze age; coupled to what appears to be a choice between adopting a deprecated platform vs a not-even-skeletally-documented one in some weird undefined state.
