Recommendation for Cheap KVM over IP solution

Hi,

I have 5-6 Fujitsu TX1320 M3 servers that unfortunately does not have a license for the built in KVM solution - and the price is crazy like 3-400 EUR per server - so that is a no go.

So I am looking to add KVM over IP support via an external solution.

I have tried googling, searching EBAY but its hard to find anything good, so I am in need of advice on any cheap solution that can:

• Provide KVM over IP
• Preferably browser based
• Preferably non-java based, since java applets are a PITA as soon as the solution gets old
• Preferably CDROM/Disk support, but I can live without since servers are close
• At least support for 5 servers, but up to 8 is also good
• Preferably low powered

I have looked at the lantronix spider, but getting 5+ will be very expensive in my opinion.

So cheap means less than 200 EUR total for everything.

Okay - the good people on reddit's homelab sales pointed me in a good direction and I have now bought:

an Avocent MergePoint Unity 2016 MPU2016 - 16 ports, with virtual medial support and when its updated it has html5 support - so no more pesky java. These can be had for less than 100 whatever

For cables - these are the cables compatible in ebay search format: (MPUIQ-VMCHS,MPUIQ-VMC,DSAVIQ-USB2,DSAVIQ-USB2L,DSRIQ-USB,DSRIQ-USB2,DSRIQ-USB2L,DSRIQ-VMC)

I found a deal for 3 for 30 GBP, which is cheap - now I just need a couple more so I can have for all my servers.

EDIT:

Total for the unit+ 8 compatible cables from 4 different sellers including shipping ends at 268 EUR - which was much more than I was hoping for - but at least I have a kvm over ip solution now that is not java based.

Darn, i had not seen this - I have a similar unit I could have provided to you (since i got 2 which I rarely use).
I might have some spare cables - how many are you looking for ? 3?

Oh well - too late - I have already bought the unit+8 cables from 4 different sellers. At least I have something now for the future, which also opens up my possibility to use these for non-server boxes.

And I also wished you had paid attention to _ALL_ my posts

imho pikvm gets a bit pricey when scaling up to more nodes

It is relevant - apparently what you can do is grab a normal KVM switch that can do switching via hotkeys, and then control the KVM switch via the PiKVM - and normal KVM switches are relatively cheap.
