Currently I have the following:

ISP 1
Unifi USG PRO
US-24-250W

ISP 2
EdgeRouter Infinity
ES-24-250w

Where ISP 1 is the primary and ISP 2 is redundancy (backup only)

However, I need to adopt 40G network between three hosts, leading me to a small and very energy efficient 40G switch that can connect three hosts and tap into current network via SFP or so. So the three hosts have access to rest of network at normal (1G speed) but 40G each to other.

I have many 40G cards, they all were incredibly cheap, dual, single, connectx-3, connectx-3 pro, and so on, it was fun to play with them directly, but I would really like to move and place the 40G as core network with accessibility to internet/network.

So does anybody has recommendations? I am up to ebay.

Juniper ex4300 has 24+ 1gbe, 4 qsfp+ 40gbe and with the sfp+ module 4 sfp+ ports. < 45dba according to the spec sheet. $1300 for the switch + $600 for the sfp+ module (new).

Arista 7050 series (end of life). Available in different configurations eg 16 qsfp+ & 8 sfp+ ports or 48sfp+ & 6 qsfp+ ports. Datacenter switch, so it's probably loud. Usually $600-1200 on ebay depending on the model and psu/fan configurations.

I am fond of the EX4300 as well since that's what I am using for my 3-node vSphere 6.x setup. Got mine for an insane deal ($280) though so YMMV.

The 7050 can be toned down fan wise with a simple command.

Many thanks for everyone's suggestions.

I have been trying to hunt for reasonably priced EX4300, I was even able to find one 375$ and unfortunately it got sold when I was checking out. Ever since then, there's nothing under 800$ for me. I guess I'll just have to wait more longer for either better prices or new switch/device drops into public.
