Another brand RTL8127 has turned up on alibaba + aliexpress looks to be made by IOCREST

It looks identical to my RTL8125B 2.5 Gbps IOCREST nics

Worked out £27.61 inc 20% TAX Delivered with a discount code

I picked one up will run it in a 3.0 x1 port for what? 8 Gbps with jumbo frames maybe

Waiting for IOCrest to release their m.2 variant as that'll be the really interesting one for me (in addition to pcie4x1 sfp.)

I think there were already posted in previous posts on this thread if you want to skim through. I was checking earlier today for the M.2 versions so I checked.

My spreenow/taobao order just arrived:

PXL_20251111_094550076-scaled.jpgPXL_20251111_094556615-scaled.jpgPXL_20251111_100847953-scaled.jpg

I didn't do much testing yet, but:
- I'm super relieved that the SFP card comes with a low profile bracket, since that isn't mentioned anywhere and I was already thinking about how to make my own.
- I think the Hellotek module needs around 2W, but I don't have clear numbers on that since I'm measuring my whole rack.
- While the Hellotek just says HTK-FR812 like in the Computex images, The packaging says HTK-812B, which does exist on the companies website. I may order the HTK813L as well to see if it actually has even lower power consumption.

EDIT: while the card is physically 4x wide, only 2x lanes are connected, meaning with Gen3, the max theoretical throughput is 15.752 GBit/s, meaning you can't do full duplex 10G unless you use it with a single Gen4 lane. It's 15.752 GBit/s, PER DIRECTION, so no issues here.

*I'm not entirely sure if it's a Windows 10 issue or something else; during the tests, the laptop was running on battery and had a clean Windows 10 install with all patches;

My RTL8127AT turned up today it didnt come in a retail box like the RTL8127 did

when i installed the drivers it was showing as no link
disable and re enable the nic caused a code 10 and the card was gone

checking the event log showed

Realtek PCIe 10GbE Family Controller has a Hardware IO error.

The network interface "Realtek PCIe 10GbE Family Controller" has begun resetting. There will be a momentary disruption in network connectivity while the hardware resets. Reason: The network driver detected that its hardware has stopped responding to commands. This network interface has reset 1 time(s) since it was last initialized.
By the looks of it they havnt got aspm stable in the drivers yet and forgot to disable ASPM in the drivers for the RTL8127AT it's disabled on the RTL8127 card with the current drivers so didnt encounter any issues

I can either disable PCH ASPM in the bios or use the Realtek Drivers with ASPM disabled at the driver level
I opted to use the drivers with ASPM disabled but tested both methods

Seems fine then

In Linux, the SFP+ card doesn't work with the mainline driver. It is detected but never gets a link. I've reported that already: RTL8127AF doesn't get a link over SFP+ DAC

The proprietary driver does work, but I haven't speed-tested it yet or anything like that: Realtek
Which kernel are you running the prop driver on? I upgraded a proxmox box to 6.17 to run one of these & I'd rather not downgrade.

My Other brand RTL8127 Came just now

It comes with a newer UEFI Option Rom than the DIEWU cards come with
also the hardware revision is the newer 07 (same as my DIEWU RTL8127AT my DIEWU RTL8127 is Rev 05)

ASPM had the same problem on MY Z390 Aorus Master F13 bios and the DIEWU RTL8127AT you have to run either ASPM disabled drivers
or disable PCH ASPM in the UEFI

PCB Substrate etched Aug 12 2025
QC Checked and made Oct 17 2025

Guangdong Taiying Technology Co.,Ltd (DIEWU)
RTL8127 PCIE 4.0x1
Realtek UEFI UNDI Option Rom 2.0.73 2025/03/24
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8127&SUBSYS_012310EC&REV_05

Guangdong Taiying Technology Co.,Ltd (DIEWU)
RTL8127AT PCIE 3.0x2
Realtek UEFI UNDI Option Rom 2.0.73 2025/03/24
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8127&SUBSYS_012310EC&REV_07

Shenzhen MMUI Co.Ltd
(MAC address registered to them also who i ordered from IOCREST parent company)
RTL8127 PCIE 4.0x1
Realtek UEFI UNDI Option Rom 2.0.74 2025/07/01
Hardware ID: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8127&SUBSYS_012310EC&REV_07

Speed in a 3.0x1 Slot with 9K frames (will do 9.91 Gbits/sec in a 4.0x1 slot ofc)
so this is the max payload you can get out of PCIE 3.0x1

I have just changed my drivers from Windows 10 10.078.50.822 to Windows 11 1127.27.50.919 on my Z790 Aorus Pro X
ASPM is enabled and working fine on the DIEWU RTL8127 PCIE 4.0x1 Card

So its either a problem with my Z390 Aorus Master UEFI or the Windows 10 Drivers

In Linux with the proprietary driver I also have lower performance unless I disable ASPM in the driver itself(not globally). Using the Gen3x2 SFP+ card.
