Is someone able to send me a sound clip or video of their Dell idling at about 4 feet away? I woke to the sound clips online and it seems that either there’s a lot of excessive background noise or some ice playing music in the video.

The noise isn't bad. I have 3 running in a closet I could record if you want.

I’m debating on picking one up as a back up I’m placing it an office. I obviously don’t want to users to hear it four plus feet away

No. Like I said, I have 3 running in closet plus switches. I leave the closet door open. We watch TV in that room.

I know ppl are using Noctua NF-A4x20 PWM to replace the originals. I'd like to get 2-3 of those with 32Gb still thinking if it's a good idea ;)

I wouldn't recommend doing that with these little pizza boxes and certainly not in anything but a temp controlled environment. While at less than ~<30% CPU utilization they run cool and really quiet, there is a lot of potential heat on tap there, if you push em beyond that point :)

They are amazing little workhorses though :)
