This is really cool, i didn't know something like this existed, the fan noise is a shame, i wonder if it's a standard size and therefore you're able to replace it with something quieter.

also i wasn't able to find anywhere to buy it, i wonder what the normal price will be? Or if it's cheaper to get a thunderbolt 3/4 pcie dock and get a 25Gb NIC, but it is cool the RaidenDigit LightONE, has it all in one plus all those USBs.

I wonder if they'll make a thunderbolt 5 version or like said in the article, a fanless version, that would be sweet

The fan is SMALL, and that's annoying. It's not clear either how easy it is to open the LightONE.

Otherwise I suppose you could get a NIC of your choice and a small enclosure like the Wikingoo M1 or Q1, or maybe M2 or Q2 to have more space to fit a cooling solution.

They look interesting, i'll probably wait until CES to see if there are any TB5 to egpu / pcie docks, ideally a dual slot one,
Edit: actually the price for the Q2L is pretty good, especially compared to Sonnet and OWC

Indeed… All I can said is that it worked for me when I posted the link. And then it apparently went down in the next 15 minutes…




Hopefully it crashed under the load after STH put some spotlight on it and it will come back.
