Looking for advice and suggestions on a RAID controller for the local ESXi datastore. Current configuration is 2 x 300Gb Intel S3500 SSD mirrored via a Dell H310 flashed to IR mode.

Local datastore is pretty sluggish as you would expect and I'm looking to increase performance if I can do so for around $100.

I've done a fair bit of research and think an LSI 9260 based card like an IBM M5015 might be a good upgrade.

Are there any other options in the $100 range that would fit my need? What about this : 9265-8I LSI 9265-8I SAS RAID CNTL W/ 1GB CACHE | eBay ? Almost seems too good to be true.
