I have a proliant dl380p with a broken ILO, sometimes i can get it online for one session after a firmware flash but then afterwards it wont work. I've concluded that the NAND memory has died.
My question is, are there any BIOS settings people know that will stop the random fan ramping issue that happens when the ILO is offline. I've tried "Increased Cooling".
Alternatively is there some kind of hardware hack I could do, the server is only used for mining so i don't mind damaging it if it means stopping the fan issue. I don't want to just "live with it" as when the fans ramp up they draw an extra 120 watts of power!
