Base OS = Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard
1 VM = Win 2012 R2 running Blue Iris
MB = SM X10SLV-Q

Here's what I'm trying to accomplish -

I want Blue Iris running in the VM and having full access to the Internet. I want the host computer to be local only. I'm thinking I can accomplish this by dedicating one NIC to the VM and the other to the host but I can't get it to work. The 2 NICs seem to be connected no matter what. If I put the VM on one subnet and the host on another, the host still has access to the Internet. So my question is, how can I uncouple the 2 NICs ? Or is there a better approach?

Hope I explained this correctly.

you will probably need to pass through the whole NIC to the VM so that the host cant see that the nic exists

Figured it out. Unchecked "Allow Management Operating System to Share This connection" and all is well. It was soooo obvious I completely missed100 it.

Thanks Marsh, I posted before I saw your post.
