Hi,
can it be connected and if yes, with what kind of card to a Dell730xd?
Does it have 24x3.5 sas/sata drives or 2.5?
Can i use it with freenas server ?

You need a SAS3 HBA with external ports.
Specs clearly states 24x3½", but there are optional bits you can install which gives it 8x2.5" drives in the back.
And yes, you can use it with a freenas server - it will just see it as locally attached disks.

Hi,
The power reading on this - in the screenshot you have added: 188w - is that with all 24 drive slots populated?

And how noisy is it?

If connected to freenas, what happens when freenas is shutdown by ups?
Will this unit also shutdown?
Will it be powered on by freenas when power is back on?

The power would not be controlled by FreeNAS. It would stay powered on unless you setup some sort of shutdown script that shuts down both FreeNAS and this unit subsequently.

Yes 188W with installed 24x2TB HUA723020ALA640
As for the noisy it is quieter than the Quanta server D51B-2U.
I'll try to record a movie tomorrow.

In my opinion it is not possible to switch it off remotely, it is only possible to reset it. Maybe power off via PDU?
