lm6m1.PNG lm6m2.PNG SO I know this Discussion is 4 years old and hope I can get feed back on what I need. So I've played with 10gbe peer to peer and decided to get a LB6M switch from UNIXPLUS. And thanks for the $50.00 discounted price with the code. I try to do my research before I buy some thing. I've previewed the manual on UNIXPLUS website for the LB6M (Quanta LB6M 24-Port 10GbE SFP+ 4x 1GbE L2/L3 Switch)

So here are some of my questions.

1. Is LB6M a CLI only or is there a GUI like shown on page 51 and 52 on the manual

2. The switch pulls a IP address from the router. should I not be able to access the above GUI from the network?
I 'm not at a point where I want to convert it.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks Tim

Greeting everyone.. resurrecting an old thread as it's still relevant today. Nikol, it does not use switchport like a CISCO. you add your vlans to the interface and set their tagging.

vlan participation include 2-6,66
vlan tagging 2-6,66

All, I need some help on the routing side of the LB6M. I have my vlans, with IPs and are routing.. The problem is, traffic between vlans is stuck around 7Mpbs instead of the full 10Gbps. I am using jumbo frames and they are set on the switch and the servers (mtu 9216). Is this switch supposed to be able to route L3 effectivelly? is there a setting I'm missing for the "cross-vlan" traffic?

Hey all, anyone knows if the switch supports IGMP snooping ? Everything seems to work except this, i get flooded, even after i type the command set igmp

I need to enable it on all ports, my wifi is going nuts
With my cisco sg500x no issues

Thanks

Hi guys, I've just bought myself Delta 7024, however I'm having issue with setting up the switch. By right, after you plug in the copper ** RJ45 10gbps to 10gbps, it should have link right? Apparently, mine isn't working at all. Nothing is plugged into the SFP+ slot at all. Btw I didn't change/switch into dell firmware is because of the SFP+ transceivers... many mentioned only accept DELL. Can anyone advise?

Thanks!

In the Broadcom FASTPATH software (like on the Dell 8024x) it is "show fiber-ports optical-transceiver <interfacename>", like this:
Code:
switch2#show fiber-ports optical-transceiver

                                    Output Input

Temp - Internally measured transceiver temperatures.
Voltage - Internally measured supply voltage.
Current - Measured TX bias current.
Output Power - Measured optical output power relative to 1mW.
Input Power - Measured optical power received relative to 1mW.
 TX Fault - Transmitter fault.
 LOS - Loss of signal.
Of course, your optics need to support Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM) for this to show anything.

Hello all,

I know I'm definitely late to the party, but I'm new to this switch and am having trouble with devices on vlans not being able to ping the switch, each other, or anything beyond the switch (like the gateway). I'm sure I'm missing something, but I can't seem to find a solution in the thread (but, again, I'm new to this). Here's my config if that helps.
