Hi, I've just purchased this motherboard:
And found this interesting review:
This is Intel 12/13/14th Gen capable. After some reading, though, it came to my mind that they publish this as TDP65W. As I'm looking for CPU and RAM now I was hoping to take benefit of the DDR5 5600MHz capability, however to do so, I need a fact CPU e.g. 14600K or similar or a smaller CPU + XMP (which I'm uncertain this board can do?)
Bottom line, what is it safe here?
- Can I get the 14600K which is published as Base Power 125W and Turbo 181W? E.g. will it boot for long enough so that I can tweak it down?
- how likely I am to retain the 5600MHz for the DDR5?
- Am I better off aiming for a 12/13rd gen aiming to have XMP? Or perhaps just be realisting and go for 4800MHz to avoid disappointments?
My aim is to undervold and limit the base/turbo frequency, bringing it down to hopefully 35W ad the T version.
Does anyone have experience with this new type of boards? Any tip?
Thanks!
