@wildpig1234 perhaps Xeon W or single LGA3647 is what you are looking for?

LRDIMMs will work with AMD EPYC, but will not work with Threadripper.

Yeah like maybe 2 yrs from now when i move from 2011 v2 to the next thing? :).... once ddr4 is cheap like ddr3 now?

that's the reason why i am thinking sticking to 16gb rdimm so i can use it on a lot more different systems...

Added 2x 2U 4-node systems.

Also, a lot of this memory is going to a wholesale outlet soon if nobody wants it. They sell the LRDIMMs for over $300/ea so offering it at the same price as they buy it for.

These sales are like a sale on crack to crack heads. You could setup a colo biz company and “sell” the hardware to that company. What a crap ton of good hardware
If we had someone doing a VPS business or the like I would invest in hardware.

Yea, lower speed DIMMs are much less expensive. Those also are a bit strange looking since they have security stickers pulled in the photos. These are already ~$100/ DIMM lower priced than other DDR4-2400 LRDIMMs.

Who are you going through out of curiosity? I've never gotten good prices for memory from the resellers I've approached.
