Just a heads up about a little issue I hit when I recently moved my storage setup to a cheap supermicro sc836 with an x8dth-i.

I had previously been using two flashed H310s without any problems on my other lga1366 consumer gigabyte board, but when I put all of my hardware in the supermicro setup, I'd randomly lose ram.
Despite having 6 slots filled with 2GB reg-ecc, it would show in random orders in memtest, and the bios recognized amount would fluctuate between 2GB to 8GB.
The board would otherwise boot and function fine.

Anyway, tl;dr, put the tape on Pci-e pins B5 and B6.
Most guides only mention to do this if you have booting issues, but it looks like on some motherboards, having those pins exposed an cause ram detection issues instead.
Since taping doesn't seem to have any consequences, I'd do it regardless or whether or not you are affected.

Didn't see anyone mention this anywhere so I thought I'd post here.
