I have searched for a replacement of my 2011 Sandy platform (C8220) for some time and finally found direct upgrade from the Dell:
Dual LGA 2011-3, 16 DDR4 slots, 8 SAS ports, Dual 10Gbe, probably same power cable as C8220/C6220:
$205 Offer accepted (with a riser and heatsinks): 4FNTC DELL POWEREDGE C6320 SYSTEM BOARD MOTHERBOARD | eBay
$148 Nothing except motherboard and enclosure: Dell Poweredge C6320 CTO Barebone Server Node | eBay
It was 300-500 before so it might be a great deal for ones that not searching for the easy ways or want to upgrade, like me. Most information required to run C6320 and examples of great dyi cases is in this thread: https://forums.servethehome.com/ind...redge-c8220-build-and-questions.11292/page-23
Also, here is quanta node for $50 with heatsinks but it is unclear how to power it up and get any output:
Quanta X898568-001 Dual Socket LGA2011-R E5-2600 V3 Blade Motherboard/Heatsinks | eBay
(OK, all info is here but nobody tried it yet i guess https://www.opencompute.org/documents/microsoft-ocs-v2-chassis-management)
