Just for the list.
  • Both consumptions messured with 1G uplink connected.
  • 230V

Ruckus ICX 7150-24P~29.6W
Ruckus ICX 7150-24P (fanless mode enabled)~27.5W

I'd be interested in a comparison of a 7150-48p vs the 7150-48zp. I'm currently using the 7150-48p but considering swapping it for the zp to have more 10g ports instead of running a separate Mikrotik CRS305.

Updated at https://forums.servethehome.com/index.php?threads/power-consumption-thread.34673/post-319086

Arista DCS-7050TX-64-F (with a surprising figure). The wattage got up to ~165W during first boot but stabilized much lower.
Where is your power reading from? 7050TX-64 and 7050TX-72Q have the exact same ASIC (show hardware system forwarding-chips -> 56850A0)

If I turn the fans down to 30%, power reading drops to 180W on the wall. The power supply reports 162.5W Output power (show system environment power reports only Output power, you have to calculate input power yourself from the Input Current).

Your 7050TX-64 is never going to need only as much as a 7050SX. The 10GBase-T PHYs need a lot of power doing nothing...

I'm getting 62 watts at the wall according to a "Kill a watt" meter from a Ruckus ICX-7150-48zp with one power supply and one fan module with nothing connected and an essentially blank config. It's running 08.0.95r.

Actually it's using more power than I expected. Arista DCS-7060CX-32S and the favorite here at STH Celestica DX010 use around 128W idle.

The QFX is surprisingly quiet after bootup, although not silent. But during initial power up, OMG, the howling of fans at full speed, worse than Mellanox SX6012 during that stage. Of course after patching the fan curves on the Celestica it is the quietest among the three. The Arista is the noisiest, I recall, even at 30% PWM. Since the QFX does support Sonic it can be made quieter, but I don't think it will be compatible with Wind River Linux.

I will compare standard noise levels among the three and report back.

As an aside, it's crazy the 7060 is still commanding over US$2K on the used market.
